Hi, I’m Aline Dhondt, founder of Basically T-shirts. Originally from Belgium, I moved to Portugal in 2012 with my husband and our three young kids. I had no idea this new chapter would one day inspire something unexpected.

In 2021, during the stillness of the pandemic, I was searching for the perfect basic T-shirt — one with quality, comfort, and a flattering fit. I couldn’t find it anywhere. That’s when I realized I might need to create it myself.

What I didn’t know was that the answer was right here. Portugal is home to some of the world’s best cotton and textile craftsmanship. I headed north, connected with a local factory, and found not only premium materials, but passionate people who truly understand quality.

That’s how Basically T-shirts began — rooted in simplicity, elevated by care. Our style is clean, timeless, and quietly classy. We focus on everyday essentials that feel amazing, fit beautifully, and last beyond trends.
